In this time of uncertainty, there's a fundamental truth that gives us hope - that together we can do extraordinary things. Over the past several months, you have undoubtedly witnessed or experienced fear, sadness, worry, and frustration. But the world has also demonstrated compassion, hope, and creativity. Whether supporting community organizations, checking in on each other, celebrating and honoring essential workers, or getting to know our neighbors, generosity will continue to help the world get through the pandemic together.
On December 1st, people all over the world comes together and harness the power of human connection to change our world. GivingTuesday is a way to show your appreciation for some of your favorite charities and organizations by giving back and supporting them.
San Francisco SafeHouse is participating in Giving Tuesday 2020, the global day of unity and giving. As you know, our organization to empower and support womxn who are experiencing housing instability and sexual exploitation or trafficking, by creating survivor-centered spaces, services, advocacy, and community education.
For the last 22 years, we've been supporting the women in our community who need it most. The women who have experienced incalculable trauma through trafficking and exploitation. This year has been especially difficult. We are proud to join the movement of #GivingTuesday and call upon our supporters to help raise awareness for
our efforts.
Every year the SafeHouse family comes together during the holidays to put on a gift card drive. This year is no different. With keeping in line with Covid protocols and limited contact, we are asking our community of supporters to help provide our clients with gift cards they can use to order the supplies and gifts that they are looking for. Gift cards are a great and easy way to show your support for our women during these holidays.
