On July 30th, the world recognizes human trafficking as a horrendous crime that exploits women, children, and men in their countries and abroad. In 2013, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons to bring awareness about the situation of victims of human trafficking and their rights. The goal is to prevent abuse, exploitation, and eliminate all forms of violence and forced labor. LEARN MORE >>> One of the greatest joys of life in my 86th year of life is hearing from or about a SafeHouse graduate who has embraced her true beauty, strength, worth and wisdom as a daughter of God and transformed her life. There are so many! Added to this is knowing of the expansion of the original vision for SafeHouse into the Hope Center and other work reaching out and supporting more homeless sex trafficked and prostituted women to do the same.
