While at SafeHouse, a woman receives clothing, food, shelter and supportive services. She receives intensive case management and access to resources to help heal mind, body and soul. A woman may reside at SafeHouse for up to 18 months—giving her time to heal emotionally and physically, gain life skills, and save money, while building her self esteem. All the while, she is part of a community of peers and women who offer her encouragement and respect—many residents say that their first experience of trusting women took place while at SafeHouse.

“It’s a building of hope. I got such a good feeling when I came in here. The house is beautiful; it’s serene and I knew this is where I belonged.”
–M., current SafeHouse resident

SafeHouse is built on the premise that women are resilient and nurturing so we offer strengths based services that empower women; SafeHouse staff, board members, volunteers and residents are a spectrum of women who each contribute something meaningful to the community—and we each get far more back in return than what we give. The women that we have served and continue to serve are a testament to the possibility of overcoming obstacles and making major changes in their lives. Please join us in being part of this amazing journey they are on.
